Floral Pants

Okay so... Floral pants.
They have never been on my list of patterns to consider because I always thought they would look like curtains on me, especially if they are palazzo pants.
But these I love!
They are comfortable and do not look bad at all. I love the color combination. They give me a romantic feeling, if that makes sense. I just feel very girly.
I thought flats would look best with them and the pink top brings out the pink out of the pants.

Any thoughts??
Please share them!

Much love,

K

Spring = Fishnets

I love fishnets and I wear them every chance I get, so I am excited for spring even though winter is my favorite time of the year.
So here is a peek at my outfit of the day. We are supposed to get snow here in Denver tomorrow, but it is 70 degrees today!

Glenwood Springs - Colorado

My Treasure

About 3 hours west of Denver and 40 minutes east of Aspen is Glenwood Springs.
The town is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Have you heard of the hot spring and vapor caves? That would be a good place to experience those. It is said that they have curative powers and they have been available to the public since the 1800s.

Doc Holliday stayed at the Glenwood Springs Hotel by the hot springs, where he tried them when he was sick. He is buried somewhere within Linwood Cemetery, but the records were lost, and the city built a monument for him.

Fourteen  wildland  firefighters perished in a fire on Storm King mountain by Glenwood Springs in July 1994... Extremely sad. I admire and respect firefighters very much. They are selfless and caring. I wish I had no fear like they do, so I could have been part of the loving community they are.
We did not hike up to Linwood Cemetery or the site where the fire took place, but we will go back to bring them love and flowers when we are not so rushed. To make sure their souls know they are remembered and thought of.

We walked around the town center and I could not resist going into a consignment shop where I found a few treasures. I call unique, adorable things "treasures."
I am sharing a few pictures above of a lovely bracelet I found in the shop. I truly think it belonged to someone good and kind. I am very happy and proud to wear it.

Much love,

K

Bow Blouses

I have always been weak for bow blouses. They are just so feminine.
When I was getting dressed this morning, I was debating on whether I should wear a necklace. I did not, I wanted the bow and the neckline to be the focus.
A red blouse with polka dots and a bow. It all seems very busy so I skipped wearing jewerly other than white pearl earrings.

What do you think? Would a necklace add to it or take away from it?

Much love,

K

The Stanley Hotel - Estes Park, Colorado.

I do not recall if I have told you about my fascination with what is beyond life once we die. For me, it started when I was about 10 years old. I was spending the night at my grandmother's with some of my cousins and we were sleeping on the sofas.

I woke up in the middle of the night. It must have been around 2-3 am. I saw this lady with her long white-silverish hair up sitting at the head of the dining room table staring at me. When I woke up and told everyone the next morning, they thought it was a dream... until the phone rang and our aunt told us that our great-grandmother passed away that night. Some other things have happened and yes, they are unexplainable, but real.

Have you read "The Shining" by Stephen King, or saw the movie? Some people have experienced unusual things at The Stanley Hotel. It is about an hour north-west of Denver, in Estes Park. We decided to go up there and take some pictures.

The hotel is turned into a historic national landmark. They are expanding the garden area and growing trees to make it look like the maze in the movie.
Of course, I could not resist and had to go into the gift shop where I snatched a long cool vest by Stella Carakasi and a few bookmarks for an unbelievable price.

Take a look at the photos below and stop by The Stanley when you visit Colorado. Make sure to reserve room 217 if you are staying the night.

Much love,

K
