NYFW - Chromat Diversity
You
Have you guys had a chance to follow NYFW?
I just started a new job and have been busy, but I am keeping up with the official NYFW and Vogue Runway apps.
I want to finish this post before I watch the Ralph Lauren runway show, I just got an alert.
Anyway, I loved Chromat's show last week. I loved seeing models of different backgrounds, ages, and body shapes. What a beautiful sight!
And what I love the most is seeing that our vision is changing and we are including everyone now, giving the younger generation hope. We are finally showing them that they are accepted and can be successful no matter what they look like.
We are all beautiful in somebody's eyes, but being accepting of ourselves is what matters. Do not compare yourself with everybody else or you will be unhappy, just learn to accept yourself and understand that you have qualities that make you unique. I wish I had learnt this when I was younger and bullied for being too thin. It caused me a lot of insecurity and shame that followed me into bad relationships. both romantic and non-romantic.
I was blown away by this show. I do not find any woman more attractive than the other or others. They are all stunning. As are you!
Much love,
Kate
Fall, Fall, Fall!

Ten days!
I wanted to share a few of my favorite sweater picks this season. That Gucci sweater is so beautiful.... And so expensive! Even if I had the money to, I probably would not pay so much for that beautiful sweater. Especially with what is going on around the world.
However, I think we can get creative and make any sweater a dream sweater. How? Add lace, charms, whatever inspires you.
Red is in this season and this beautiful v-neck that can be worn with anything. Something that comes to mind is a polka dots white and black blouse underneath it, and black pants. Another idea would be a white shirt with navy blue stripes and tailored dark blue jeans. What do you think?
Now, the Burberry Prorsum sweater is my favorite. As a dog lover, I would wear that every other weekend!
All these are for sale at bit.ly/2vkgNDh Check them out!
Much love,
Kate

Sock boots are trending this season. My favorite way to wear them is with shirt dresses and skirts, I do not always follow trends unless they fit my style.
I am particularly excited about this one because I can go from casual to business to partying, unlike the over-the-knees, which I love, but I do not feel are appropriate for the office.
Not appropriate unless we work in a cubicle for a fashion magazine or a style branch of some kind, of course. Or better yet, a designer.
I love the red ones above, red is the it color this season, and my favorite. I would definitely wear those to the Beaufille NYFW show!
Do you love the trend? What are your thoughts?
Much love,
Kate

Hello September!
It's September!
Which means it's boots weather, so exciting!
Its still warm out, so I thought I'd wear some denim and these cute boots by Nine West.
I am seeing some fun styles out there, like the sock-bootie, and the flat over-the-knee.
I went shopping for boots at the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver, CO and one of the store associates told me that my calves were too thin and it was going to be hard for me to find boots.... Nope. Not at all.
I wear pants size 0 and 2 depending on the brand, and my calves are proportionate with the rest of my body. Thankfully, I am no longer 17 and insecure, I did not let that stop me from finding what I was looking for, so I have a few styles I love this fall/winter.
Sometimes you have got to let stuff roll of your back and ignore unwelcome comments. Go for what you love and live!
